Youth Needs Assessment RFI
Request for information
Kansas Statewide Homeless Coalition (KSHC) is requesting information regarding pricing and process to complete a Community Needs Assessment for homeless youth and youth facing housing instability ages 16-24 in the state of Kansas. KSHC is looking to understand the needs, experiences, and barriers of homeless and unstably housed youth in Kansas to be used in the development of grants and programs specifically to support this population.
This Request for Information (RFI) is for informational purposes only, and no contract will be awarded as a result. A firm or organization’s response to the RFI—or lack thereof—will have no impact on the evaluation of responses to any subsequent Request for Proposals (RFP) or Invitation to Bid (ITB) released. Responses will be used solely for information and planning purposes.
Please note that all responses will be of the public record. Do not submit confidential information in your response.

KSHC is especially interested in hearing feedback on this proposed project from the following firms, organizations, or individuals:
- Research Institutions in Academic Settings
- Non-profit organizations that routinely execute needs assessments
- Organizations that work with non-profits to conduct assessments and research
What We’re Looking for:
Respondents are invited to provide information on the following subjects of interest to KSHC:
- Youth homelessness in Kansas
- Racial and ethnic disparities in youth homelessness
- LGBTQ+ disparities in youth homelessness
- Impacts of child welfare and juvenile justice systems on youth homelessness

RFI Released: November 10, 2023
RFI Conference: November 17, 2023
Deadline for Questions: November 22, 2023
Responses Due: December 15, 2024
Dates may be modified or amended by the KSHC, which will post an amendment to this RFI notifying prospective respondents of any change on this website .
